SpoofProof
is a free service intended to validate the user's authorship of
a given body of text, and comes with absolutely no warranty of
any kind. It was written by John Davis as a public service. There
is no fee for using SpoofProof.
Users
of SpoofProof release John Davis and any hosting company used
by SpoofProof from any and all liabity arising from or in any
way related to the use of SpoofProof. You, as the user, must accept
full responsibility for any consequences arising from your use
of SpoofProof.
You
are authorized to use SpoofProof to sign email and usenet messages
as a mechanism to indicate that you are the author of a given
message. No other purpose is implied or intended. Your messages
will be archived for 180 days unless you choose a longer or shorter
time. You may distribute the validation link in your message,
but you may not include the validation link if you crosspost to
more than three (3) groups at one time. You may not include the
validation link in any message which contains offensive or illegal
content, or SPAM (USE) including pornographic advertisements.
You may not make any attempt to circumvent any of SpoofProof.org's
mechanisms.
You
may not use spoofproof to impersonate, harass, threaten, annoy
or molest any person or personality. This includes using a real
SpoofProof validation link or a forged one to impersonate another
person. If you falsely represent SpoofProof validation in your
message you are guilty of forgery, which is punishable by prison
in most countries. No effort is undertaken to verify the identity
of persons using this service.
Failure
to observe these policies can have a range of consequences from
account termination to civil and criminal penalties.
Please
be advised that no personal information other than names and email
addresses is collected by this site. Passwords are stored in encrypted
form for the security of the account holders. We will not turn
over any information in the database to any person under any circumstances
without a court order signed by a County, State, or Federal Judge.
